What I had in mind was that my mom’s care should be modeled explicitly as a finite obligation, separate from the rest of the support discussion, rather than left vague.

In other words, I was not proposing that her care just be assumed to fit inside some other number. I was proposing that it be treated as its own specifically budgeted piece of the model.

At this point, her current need has fallen to about $1,000/month.
